Madam Maheswari serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Turiya Berhad. She chairs the Sustainability Committee and contributes actively as a member of the Audit and Risk and the Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Her focus includes governance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability integration across the organisation.

She holds multiple prestigious professional qualifications. Madam Maheswari is a Chartered Banker, certified by both the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI), United Kingdom. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in the United States and Malaysia. She is also a Fellow of The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) and a Fellow Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional (CS, CGP) of the Chartered Governance Institute, United Kingdom. Furthermore, she is a Certified Expert in ESG and Impact Investing, having completed certification from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and an Honorary Member of the Director Members Community at LeadWomen.

With over 47 years of experience, Madam Maheswari has held senior management roles primarily in the financial services sector. She brings 23 years of in-depth expertise in compliance, regulatory affairs, governance, ethics, fraud investigation, and risk management in both financial and capital market environments. In addition, she has 24 years of leadership experience in company secretarial functions within publicly listed companies.

She served as the Executive Director and Group Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer at Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (KIBB) prior to her retirement. She is also a Board Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and MBSB Bhd as well as a member of the Risk Management Committee at University Malaya, and acts as an Adviser to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Malaysian Chapter.
